How do I place an order?

Orders can be placed securely on our website 24/7.

Will I lose weight/improve my health if I eat nothing other than Food 4 Fuel?

Weight loss depends upon your lifestyle and exercise choices in addition to your food choices. Food 4 Fuel offers nutritionally dense, portion controlled meals at fast food pricing. Many of our customers have been able to meet their weight loss goals from eating nothing but F4F meals or using F4F meals as a supplement. We Strongly Believe in the “CROWDING OUT” process, that means for every Healthy meal we eat, we are likely CROWDING OUT and unhealthy one.

How long does my food stay fresh?

The health department recommends 7 days in the refrigerator at maximum. To be safe, we recommend 5. We do include an “Enjoy or freeze by” date on each meal.

Can I walk in and purchase meals without placing an order ahead of time?

We offer walk-in opportunities on Monday nights from 4PM t0 6PM to pick up a meal and purchase without a pre-order. We call this our Grab-N-Go. Meals available through Grab-N-Go are not customizable.

What happens if something is missing from my order?

You can submit feedback about missing items from your order at Support@Food4Fuel.com or through the messaging function of our Facebook page. We will work hard to make things right for you.

How many calories are in one meal?

Each meal has between 300 and 350 calories. Please use our “Nutrition” page found here to make the calculation for your meals.

Is there information about macros for each meal?

Do you have options for different types of diets?

You will have an option to customize your meals while you place your order. You can customize the food options to adjust the macros for your meals.  Information about our macros can be found on our “Nutrition” page here.  This allows for you to fit your meals best to the diet you’re currently practicing.

What is the process for packaging the meals?

Our Passionate team is always conscious of health and safety when we are packaging your meals with care. We always work on clean surfaces and use gloves at all times when touching food that is going into packaging. We make sure our hands are clean, as soon as the meals are packaged they go back into the fridge.

Can the packaging be reused?

The packaging that your meal comes in can be cleaned and used again in the future. We are always excited to see when our customers do their own meal prep with our containers and post it on Social Media and tag us.

Is it recyclable?

The packaging that your meal comes in is recyclable, BPA free, as well as Freezer and microwave safe.

How do I store meals?

You can keep your meals in the fridge or freeze them. Each meal comes with a “Enjoy or freeze by” date on the package.  The health department recommends 7 days in the refrigerator at maximum.  We recommend 5 just to be safe.

How do I heat/prepare meals?

To reheat, take the lid off and place loosely back on top. Heat for 1:30-2:00 minutes.  Each meal comes with these directions on it.

Where can my online order be picked up?

You can pick up online orders at the Carlson Ice Arena, Home of Food 4 Fuel commercial kitchen for 6 years! 4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111.

Orders must be submitted noon on Sunday for pickup on Monday between 4PM-6PM.

Where can I submit feedback/concerns about my meals?

You can submit feedback or concerns about meals at Support@Food4Fuel.com or through the messaging function of our Facebook page. We will work hard to make things right for you.

What happens if I place an order but forget to pick it up?

Please email support@Food4Fuel.com so we can make arrangements for you to pick up your order at a different time.

What should I do if I have severe food allergies?

Please contact us at Support@Food4Fuel.com to explain your personalized situation. We’d be happy to send you some feedback on menu options that will fit your personal situation.

What are my payment options for my meals?

Online orders must be purchased with credit or debit cards. Cash payments are accepted during our walk-in Grab-N-Go service.

Are menu items customizable?

We have meal plan options that allow for you to customize your meals. You can do this while you’re placing your online order.  This allows you to best fit our meal preparation with the diet you’re currently practicing.

Do you change the meals on your menu?

We do change the meals on our menu from time to time. Stay up to date with our current options by browsing our website.

What’s your return policy?

Please submit your feedback to Support@Food4Fuel.com or through the messaging function of our Facebook page if you are unhappy. We will do everything we can to work with you.

Do you offer shipping?

We can deliver to your house if you live within 10 miles of our kitchen location (4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park, IL). This option can be selected during checkout of your online order.

Our M.O. was, is and always will be to serve our local community. We want to help any local city become a Top 25 Healthiest place to live by 2025, hence #25by2025

When will my order be ready?

Orders can be picked up on Mondays between 4PM-6PM. Residential Deliveries vary, but most likely window is 3-7 pm, we will call or text on the day of to give you more of a heads up.

Does Food 4 Fuel offer more than food?

Yes! Food 4 Fuel is on a mission to help improve physical health as well.  We’ve worked to create opportunities for folks to move more.  We currently offer a walking group.  Information about that group can be found here.  We also offer a food program with a fitness component attached called the “21 Day Sprint to Confidence”.  Information about the group can be found here.

*Both of these programs are suspended until further notice due the COVID-19 pandemic.

Do you offer catering options for large groups?

We do offer catering options for large groups. Please fill out the form on our website, here. And we will respond to discuss the needs of your group.

What should I do if I’m having trouble placing an order?

Please contact us at Support@Food4Fuel.com and we’ll respond to your request ASAP.

What subscription options do you have available?

Never forget your order again! You can place your order and click the “subscription option” and select the duration of time you would like to repeat that order. You can cancel or suspend anytime with no penalty.

Subscriptions are only available on select items.

How do I make changes to my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription anytime by logging into your account on our website. At this time, you cannot change your meal selections on your subscription. If you want to make changes to your selections, you will need to cancel your subscription and start a new one.

Can I have my online order delivered?

We can deliver to your house if you live within 10 miles of our kitchen location (4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park, IL). This option can be selected during checkout of your online order.

How does the food stay fresh during delivery routes?

We only deliver within a 10 miles radius of our kitchen. The food is kept in special bags during the delivery to keep it cold and retain its freshness.  Our Food 4 Fuel trucks are equipped with a cooler as well.

Do I have to be home when my delivery is dropped off?

Deliveries take place from 3-7PM on Mondays. Although it is not necessary to be home, you can give us permission to leave it at your door step. We do prefer that you make arrangements to have someone home during those hours to receive the meals.  Please contact us at Support@Food4Fuel.com if something comes up last minute.
